Head Football Coach/Athletic Director
The winningest coach in Lake Travis history, Hank Carter and his Cavaliers have become synonymous with success as he has firmly etched his indelible stamp upon Texas high school football. No head coach in the Cavaliers' illustrious history has produced more victories than Carter (104), or State Championships (3), and the LT coaching lineage of shot callers includes the iconic Chad Morris.
Putting Carter's accomplishments and remarkable consistency in the proper national perspective isn't difficult; no other team from the state of Texas has ever won five consecutive state titles, and a sixth title in 2016 was at the highest Classification and Division in the State of Texas (6A Division I). Coach Carter was a direct contributor to five of the six championships winning two as a defensive coordinator and three as a head coach. As a result of his team's success, Coach Carter and his staff were selected to coach the 2013 THSCA All-Star South Team.
Recently, Carter added the title of Athletic Director to his resume as he continues to expand his reach over Lake Travis Independent School District athletics. The 2018 season will be Carter's 11th year with the program, 9th as head coach and 6th as Athletic Director/Head Coach.
Coach Carter is married to his wife, Stacy, of 13 years. They are the proud parents of two children, Jason (8) & Madison (7).
